We are grateful to Dr. Arie Hartog, Gerhard Marcks Haus, Bremen, for his kind support in cataloguing this lot.

Chocolate brown patina. Light surface dust and accretions in crevices. Spots of verdigris to the underside of the figure's skirt and on the figure's proper left foot. Very light rubbing to the extremities. Discoloration to the patina on the proper left side of the figure's dress at the level of her elbow. The work is in good condition.
