Women on the Bridge
black crayon on paper
36.3 by 48.3cm., 14¼ by 19 in.
Framed: 60.5 by 71.5cm., 23⅞ by 28⅛in.
Executed in 1903.
This work is recorded in the archives of the Munch-Museet, Oslo.
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, attached to the mount intermittently along all four edges and floating in the over-mount. The left, right, and lower edges are slightly unevenly cut. The sheet is very slightly time-stained and there is an area of discolouration along the the lower part of the left edge, only visible on close inspection. There is a pin-sized hole and two diagonal creases to the upper right corner. There is what appears to be a small repair to the lower part of the left edge, away from the image. There are a few spots of foxing in places. This work is in overall good condition.
