Conceived in 1875-76. This reduced size conceived in 1903-1904 and cast in bronze in three editions between 1913 and 1971; this work cast in 1956 by the Georges Rudier Foundry in an unnumbered edition of 19.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l’œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2021-6313B.
