To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner in 2003, Rolex launched a special green bezel Submariner known as the “Kermit”. By adding a slight touch of green to the bezel of the classic Submariner, this transformation created one of the most popular watches in today's market. The present example represents the MK5 version of the "Kermit" which for the first time we can see the serial number engraved on the inner part of the bezel, and no longer between the lugs at 6 o'clock.
