Launched in 2007, the reference 5971 is a true work of art embodying haute joaillerie and haute horlogerie. Mechanically, the watch carries the Nouvelle Lemania movement, caliber CH 27-70Q, a movement widely regarded as the most beautiful and complicated classic column wheel chronograph mechanism in existence. Made exclusively for Patek Philippe, the highly complicated movement incorporates a chronograph function with perpetual calendar including leap-year display, date and moon-phases.
Aesthetically the watch is encased in platinum and embellished with 36 Top Wesselton baguette-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4 carats. The reference 5971, discontinued today, was replaced by the reference 5271. Powered by caliber CH 27-70Q, the watch features the most popular complications including perpetual calendar, chronograph and moon phases.
