Parmigiani Fleurier is a Swiss independent watchmaking brand that was officially founded by Michel Parmigiani in 1996. Before the manufacturer timepieces of his name, Parmigiani began his career as a restorer in 1976 and his talents were not only quickly recognized by museums and collectors, but he was also entrusted with the maintenance of the important Maurice-Yves Sandoz collection.
Parmigiani’s watches are often known for its high quality and uniqueness, the present Toric Westminster Grande Date is a fitting example of Parmigani’s name. Featuring a highly complicated movement, the watch features four hammers on three finely tuned steel gongs. The result of the combination is a beautiful tone and melody replicating the same tune as the clock of the British Houses of Parliament in London known as “Big Ben”, more officially called Westminster chimes.
Immensely attractive, the watch features a visually appealing Tourbillon carriage at 6 o’clock on the dial. The impressive Tourbillon is additionally complimented by the gorgeously finished hand-guilloché dial that would shimmer different shades of colors under the change of light.
