Ludovic Ballouard is a highly praised independent watchmaker who has harnessed great experience and knowledge from working with Franck Muller and F.P. Journe on Sonneries and other highly complicated movements before venturing off with his own brand in 2009. Unlike other existing brands which are often found competing for the most complicated, lightest or extreme horological achievements, Ludovic has taken his own approach in creating watches that would display time in an eccentric manner like the Upside Down and the present Halftime model.
The present timepiece is a very classic and handsome example of the Halftime model. Already featuring an intricate complication such as the retrograde minute display and jumping hour, it is a watch of quality. However, the true beauty of this chronometer is with the unconventional (jumping hour) display. By adopting two separate rotating disks on the chapter ring which rotates in different directions, the two would only align properly in the window display at 12 o’clock. A charming message from the creator to the bearer, reminding oneself to focus on the present and not to be distracted by the future.
In excellent condition and numbered 1. The present watch may possibly be one of the first Half Times made available for the market.
