The A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk is an outstanding timepiece of modern watchmaking. Initially presented to the market in 2009, the Zeitwerk had immediately gained great success and captured the hearts of many collectors. Not only does the watch feature a remarkably handsome and robust polished case, the Zeitwerk is also the first mechanical wristwatch to display time from left to right in a digital manner.
The development of the movement for the watch was incredibility difficult as the greatest obstacle was for Lange to create a movement that can provide the watch with enough energy to power the time for 36 hours through a digital time display. Therefore, Lange had resulted to the strategy of employing a constant force mechanism, similar to a remontoir mechanism but with greater consistence in power output.
The present example in like new condition is part of a limited edition of 200 pieces, numbered 010/200 and is accompanied with Certificate and presentation box. The watch is without a doubt a true treasure for all enthusiasts of horology.
