The Day-Date is arguably one of Rolex's coolest models, and worn indisputably by some of the coolest figures in history. This example is a slightly more contemporary iteration; the reference 18238, and with its E serial it can be dated to around 1990. Aesthetically not much has changed since the model was introduced in 1956, testament to its timeless character, though this particular timepiece has an outer minute track accented by Roman numerals offering it a somewhat more modern appearance.
The present lot is presented in as new condition having never been polished and accompanied by its full suite of accessories.
