During the 2011 Basel fair, Patek Philippe revamped its highly collectible perpetual chronograph collection by introducing the new reference 5270, replacing the 5970. The launch of this model marks a very important milestone in the history of Patek Philippe, as it is the first perpetual chronograph wristwatch to be equipped with a completely in-house designed and manufactured movement. Ergo it also marked the end of Patek Philippe using and modifying movements from third parties.

In 2018, Patek Philippe introduced an iteration with a highly attractive salmon dial, such as the present example. Rarely used in Patek Philippe's collection, the salmon-colored dial is therefore sought-after by collectors and provides contemporary watches a beautiful vintage touch. 

The present lot is offered in very attractive condition and as a complete set with Certificate of Origin and presentation case.
