Nicknamed the Tank Moderne as the watch sports a rectangular shaped case, the reference 2496 is believed to be in production by Patek Philippe from approximately 1951 to 1965. Believed to be an extremely rare model that has less than 600 pieces produced and no more than 25 examples were encased in platinum, the present watch is furthermore fitted with baguette-cut diamond on the bezel and lugs can possibly be one of a kind. In impeccable condition for its age, the original dial that can be determined by the finely raised signature and the unpolished case that can be seen from its crisp hallmark.
