The design concept of the Seamaster is based on a waterproof diving watch made for the British Army at the end of Second World War. It was launched in the 1957 alongside with the other two well known model, the Railmaster and the Speedmaster. The Seamaster 300 saga began with the series CK 2913. The present reference 165.014 initially started it production in 1964 and was known to be the last model with a straight lugs case.
The present owner sent his Seamaster back to Omega, where they mounted a new dial and hand but at his request, retaining the original dial and hands that are also included with this watch.
