Produced between 1954 and 1960, the 2540 was Patek Philippe’s first square automatic wristwatch making this reference historically important to the brand. The watch wears larger than its nominal size due to the rounded square case which gives the watch a modern look and feel despite its age, also in part due to the exceptional condition of the watch.

The present example is elevated thanks to it being fitted on an equally well-preserved factory Milanese bracelet in matching yellow gold, which certainly makes the watch more eye-catching and opulent.
