附帶後補資料庫精粹

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. All functions are working properly. The dial is very nice with hard enamel scales to the signature and calibration. Overall the entire surface has taken on a nice ivory patina, giving the watch lots of character. There are some minor blemishes throughout the dial, most noticeably between 10 and 11 o'clock. There is some light surface abrasions within the subsidiary registers. The Patek signature is nicely raised. The Tiffany & Co. stamp is complete. There are some very minor losses to the outer edge of the dial underneath the bezel. The bezel itself has the last 2 digits of the case number etched on the inside of the bezel as it should. The seconds hand with some minor tarnishing. The case itself with wear throughout consistent with age. Please note this watch was originally sold at Sotheby's in New York in 2007 and the fluting to the lugs has been enhanced since that auction. The case back with 18k stamp clearly visible. There is a partial hallmark between the crown and bottom pusher. The inside of the case back is stamped HOX.

Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts.

You are advised that watch straps or bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator or crocodile) are not sold with the watch and we reserve the right to remove these straps or bands prior to shipping. Furthermore, the watch may not come with its original manufacturers strap or band.

Offered by the original owner at auction in 2007, this reference 2499 third series is rarer still due to the double signature on the dial. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. in New York, it is believed that less than 6 examples of a third series were retailed by Tiffany & Co.

The present watch is fitted with a hard enamel dial with beautifully raised signature and scales. The Tiffany & Co. signature is intact and also very legible. The case still bears the legible 18k stamped on the outside of the case back and a partial hallmark on the outside of the case between the crown and bottom pusher. There have been many known third series from a similar year of production where the cases only have one hallmark which is very faintly stamped. This is true for the pink examples as well.

Another important fact to note is that the inside of the case back is stamped with the letters 'HOX', which is an indication that the watch was made for the American market. Since the watch was first offered on the market in 2007 from the original family, the fluting to the lugs has been enhanced.
