附帶後補資料庫精粹

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. All functions are working properly. The dial with hard enamel signature and scales. The two-tone portion for the minute track and for the date minute track around the moon phases has been enhanced to look like this in the early 1990s. There is some minor losses to the dial underneath the bezel. This watch has remained in the important private collection since the mid 1990s and is consigned by that collector. The hands have been replaced with blued steel hour and minute hand. The cyclop lens has been added after the original manufactured. The two aperture windows for the date and month with oxidation around the rims. The case with light surface wear which is consistent with the age of the watch. The gold throughout is tarnished, having not been used for a very long time. The case finish has been brushed. The fluting to the lugs have been enhanced since the watch has made. The lugs with two crisp hallmarks underneath. The movement is very clean and with not much wear to the bridges and screw heads. The inside of the bezel is stamped with the last three digits of the case number as it should. The case back with some watchmaker's mark on the left hand side. The present 2499 first series is also fresh to the market and has not been seen before. Inside the case back stamped with a 1 indicating Wegner as the maker.

Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts.
