Introduced in 2013, the reference 116710BLNR gained its nickname the "Batman" with its black and blue colour scheme, reminiscent to DC's superhero from Gotham City. The Batman was in fact the first Rolex watch to receive a two-tone Cerachrom bezel, which was a material breakthrough since ceramic was a difficult material to work with. The watch was further retailed by Khimji Ramdas LLC. As the oldest watch distributor in the land of Oman, they introduced Rolex to their country in the 60s and was one of the retailers to issue watches with the Khanjar dial.
