With the year 2000 came an entirely refreshed line of Rolex Daytona wristwatches. The new reference 116528 was the first yellow gold Daytona to be powered by an automatic in-house movement, the brand new caliber 4130. The new setting can be differentiated by the second subsidiary dial moving to 6 o'clock. Produced in various configurations such as the regular white to the popular green dial, the present watch is instead fitted with a champagne dial, with its luxurious tone blending in perfectly with the yellow gold case. The case and bracelet is on the other hand, commissioned by the original owner to have a brushed polishing as well, making it a trendy and elegant companion to the wrist.
