Launched following a slower than expected reaction to the reference 3700, the reference 3800 was realized with a smaller 37.5mm case, as opposed to the larger 41mm diameter of its sister reference. The difference in size however detracts from its appearance in no way whatsoever and the watch retains every attribute of a Nautilus for which all watch collectors currently fawn. Comprised of both steel and gold, this particular 3800 has a strong presence on the wrist, the combinations of metals providing a certain added sophistication to what is already a very versatile and wearable watch.

This attractive example in stainless steel and yellow gold features and blueish-black ribbed dial, and has been preserved in wonderful condition.
