Introduced in the early 2000s, Rolex incorporated a handful of colourful hard stone dials to the Daytona, including blue, pink, yellow and the present green, offering a playful twist to this timeless chronograph collection. The green dial of the present watch is made of chrysoprase, a rare green material ranging from light to deep. Hardstone dials are extremely hard to create as the smallest margin of error will lead to fracture. Yet, the incredible craftmanship of Rolex has achieved absolute precision in crafting these dials, and furthermore applied four lines of inscription and 18k white gold Arabic numerals onto it. The present watch is accompanied by its box and papers, and is an excellent collectors item for the connoisseur of Rolex Daytonas.
