The Patek Philippe reference 3429 was released in 1960 replacing the reference 3415 with the sole difference between the two being the introduction of a new caliber 27-460 replacing the retiring caliber 12-600AT. With its 2-piece Wenger-made case featuring a screw-down case back and PP crown, the watch was considered waterproof. The dials were made by Stern Freres and featured applied gold baton indexes and engraved enamel signature. It is thought that only 200 examples were made in white gold, with circa 16 examples appearing back to the market.
