The reference 3974 was launched in 1989 to celebrate Patek Philippe’s 150th anniversary. The reference features a self winding movement with minute repeater, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon, leap year and 24 hours indication. At the time of its launch, it was the most complicated wristwatch in the world.

Patek Philippe discontinued the reference 3974 in the year 2000, giving the reference a 11-year production run. The present example is cased in yellow gold and was manufactured at the very beginning of the reference’s launch. The watch is accompanied with its original Certificate of Origin and has been preserved in very nice and original condition. The fluting to the lugs is still very prominent. The dial is in very nice preserved condition. The repeating itself has a terrific tone and clarity.
