Reference 3454 was launched in 1961 and produced for only a couple of years until around 1963. There are very few publications and the reference is missing from vintage Patek Philippe catalogues. It can therefore be expected that the production remained very low, perhaps one or two hundred pieces overall.

So far, only a handful of watches have been publicly identified on the market, all of them in yellow gold such as the present lot. The is equipped with an attractive 'reeded' bezel and is a rather large piece for the time period.
