Two proofs of the first and second state of this rare woodcut printed on the same sheet, 1909, signed in pencil on the recto, with the violet Nachlass stamp on the verso and inscribed 'H 106 I + II' in ink, on heavy grey wove paper, framed

Gercken records four impressions of this extremely rare print. The present work is both the only signed impression and the only known example of the first state.
