wrought iron

31 1/4 x 63 x 1 in. (79.4 x 160 x 2.5 cm) fully extended

Overall in very good condition. The iron surfaces are incredibly rich and tactile with irregularities inherent to production which underscore the handwrought quality of the work. The iron surfaces throughout display beautifully variegated tones of silvery grey and black as illustrated in the catalogue photography. The iron presents with some occasional light surface scratches and minute abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. The iron throughout presents with rubbing, small traces of oxidation and light surface soiling particularly concentrated to the outer edges of the design. The grill backing is in very good condition overall with some minute bending consistent with age and gentle use. Please note this work was authenticated by Clare Yellin, the artist’s granddaughter, in 2020, and then impressed SAMUEL YELLIN. An elegant and refined work with excellent provenance.
