Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the shade displays a nuanced palette of variegated green tones ranging from emerald to olive green, which is complemented by the warm yellow-amber color of the bamboo stalks. The shade with approximately 10 hairlines dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some minor traces of surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines, consistent with age. The shade with approximately 25 tiles which appear to have been reset in the period, likely by Tiffany Studios. This is a common feature with other examples we have seen of the Bamboo model given the composition of larger glass tiles in these shades. (The glass in these areas all appears to be period Tiffany glass.) With period hanging componentry, including ceiling canopy, hook, chain, cap, and socket cluster, all in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and wear consistent with age and handling. While the chandelier was in working order at the time of cataloguing, Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A very handsome work with great scale and vibrant coloration.
