Overall in very good condition. The “Moyen Modèle” version of this avian design exhibits balanced proportions and a highly naturalistic presence. The metal surfaces throughout present with minor surface irregularities inherent to production and application of the gilding and patina. The patinated copper wings present with a variegated surface and colors ranging from chocolate brown to caramel with occasional areas of burgundy red. The metal surfaces present with some occasional rubbing and faint discoloration, as well as light scattered surface scratches and minor traces of oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The frosted glass shade is in excellent condition with some very light scuffing from contact with the metal surfaces. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A playful and functional form.
