Overall in very good condition. The silvered bronze surfaces have recently been cleaned and polished by a professional conservator to restore the original brightness of the piece. The bronze presents with surface scratches throughout consistent with gentle handling. The relief decorations and outer edges of the chandelier present with areas of very minimal and occasional discoloration to the silvering which are not visually distracting. The silk ropes and tassel have recently been cleaned by a professional conservator and are in very good condition overall with some loose and misaligned threads throughout consistent with use. The shades have recently been replaced to match the original design and are in excellent condition overall. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A beautiful and rare form with outstanding provenance.
