supported on four curved legs cast in the shape of stylised birds with curved beaks, the octagonal body with raised flanges and cast on each facet with one of the bajixiang emblems atop a lotus bloom, all surmounted by a pair of handles, the base with a six-character Xuande mark
The incense burner is in good overall condition with the gilding generally well preserved. There are chips to the rim and tips of the feet, and general casting imperfections.
