A spinach-green jade 'phoenix' double vase
Qing dynasty, Qianlong period
清乾隆 碧玉鳳紋花插
carved as two hollowed pine tree trunks with high relief leafy branches curling around the exterior, a long-tailed phoenix to one side, the stone a bottle-green tone with darker flecks
Length 13.3 cm, 5¼ in.
Presumably Louis Joseph, second half of 1960 (J/75).
Collection of Victor Ezekiel (1905-1976).
