A rare reticulated yellow glass 'lotus' bowl
Qing dynasty, 18th century
the semi-opaque glass realistically modelled in the form of a lotus leaf finely detailed with veins, the foliate rim pierced and carved with small birds and a crab, the exterior wreathed by a grain stalk
Diameter 10.5 cm, 4⅛ in.
The bowl has a small chip to the rim and some light wear to the surface overall.
