A pale celadon jade figure of a recumbent horse
Late Ming dynasty
晚明 青玉臥馬
with legs neatly tucked under the body and the head turned back sharply over the back, the stone a celadon tone with white mottling and faint caramel veining
Length 6.3 cm, 2½ in.
Presumably Louis Joseph, late 1960s (J/83).
Collection of Victor Ezekiel (1905-1976).
