A pale celadon jade ewer and cover

Qing dynasty, 18th century

清十八世紀 青白玉雲蝠紋執壺連蓋


the flattened baluster body rising to a ribbed, waisted tall neck, set to one side with a short dragon mask spout suspending a loose ring and to the other with a stylised bird handle suspending a loose ring, the front face carved with the wu fu in flight amidst dense ruyi clouds, the stepped cover surmounted by an oval finial, the stone a pale celadon-white tone
