A sancai and blue-glazed horse with groom
the horse standing foursquare on a rectangular base, with the head turned slightly to the left, the ears pricked, the cropped mane forming a fringe along the neck, a saddle and saddle cloth draped over the back and an elaborate harness and strapwork over the face and body, principally glazed in amber and with splashes of blue, the groom dressed in a tunic, trousers, and cap, the arms suspended mid-movement and the face turned upward, similarly glazed in amber and blue (2)

The horse is extensively restored with some sections possibly rebuilt. The groom has restored breaks at both arms, retouching to one ankle and possible repainting to the face.
