Qing dynasty, 17th / 18th century

清十七 / 十八世紀 青玉雕太平有象擺件


carved as an elephant standing foursquare with its head turned towards its right, its wrinkled skin, curved tusks and long tail finely detailed, a boy sitting astride the animal with the left arm pressing against a large treasure vase (bao ping) and clasping a lotus stem in the hand, the right elbow resting on the bent right knee, the head turned to the side, the pale green stone with pale russet inclusions, wood stand (2)
