Qing dynasty, Kangxi period
the deep rounded body rising from a slightly tapered foot to an everted rim, brightly enameled around the exterior with a couple conversing indoors, an attendant by the lady's side, the fenced garden with plantain trees, bamboo and rocks, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a double circle
Diameter 6 in., 15.2 cm
The rim restored with infills, overspray and spots of overpainting covering fritting and a few chips and hairline cracks, with the longest crack measuring 3.7cm. Overall with a few minor firing imperfections.
