New England

circa 1730

Height 23 1/2 in. by Width 28 3/8 in. by Depth 27 3/4 in.

This is appears to be a unique “hutch” table. Retains a nice historic red wash. With general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs as to be expected with age and use. Separation to two boards of top due to shrinkage. Rubbing and losses to paint decoration, as to be expected. Two butterfly repairs to underside of top. Stationary top or seat re-secured with later round headed wire nails. The table appears to have had its white paint stripped off. Remnants of white paint most visible on underside of top but also present on the underside surfaces of stretchers and turnings. Feet appear to retain a majority of their original height
