Very Fine and Rare Molded Copper 'Leaping Horse' Weathervane

Several vanes of this dynamic early form are known. They have been mistakenly attributed to A.L. Jewell of Waltham, Massachusetts, but he did not make vanes with drilled eyes nor does this design appear in any of his brochures or broadsides.
