each modeled with an amusing expression with one hand holding a peach, seated on a rockwork base painted in green and pink enamels

A related pair, similarly modeled and decorated, formerly in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. George Fenimore, sold in these rooms, January 19th, 2008, lot 53. An example of similar form but of earlier date sold in our London rooms, November 18th 1998, lot 1109.
