Description

Property From The Family Of Richard P. Feynman

[Feynman, Richard P.]

Group of Five Drums

Comprising a brass-bodied darbouka with floral design made in Pakistan, an Indian daya tabla hand drum, an African animal-hide drum, possibly Kenyan, a painted double-sided hand drum, and a Brazilian tamborim, the largest 21 x 12 1/2 inches diameter, the smallest 2 x 6 1/2 inches.

While Feynman was most often associated with playing the Bongos, he was in fact enamored with all styles of drumming, and the present collection represents his far-ranging interest in the the instrument in general.
