circular form with liner, the cover with entwined snake handle, the body with gadroon rims and two embellished egg and dart friezes, the two handles modelled as ram heads with demi-snake surmounts, the stand with lotus and sunflower borders, on four seven-toed lion feet

Hallmarked clearly to all four elements. Signs of erasure to the cover and the stand. All elements are marked with two dots or notches apart from the cover which has one notch. Minor surface marks and wear. Some rubbing marks to the inside of the tureen, possibly indicating an erasure. Engraved with a scratch-weight '256-10'.
