of elongated oval form, the lid, sides and base striped with alternating green enamel bands over scale engine-turning and chased husks on a sablé ground, lemon gold acanthus borders, Paris prestige marks including rubbed maker’s mark JB, charge and discharge marks of Julien Alaterre, date letter rubbed, the left rim numbered: 757, the rim with initials: DLS at intervals, later French control marks, in modern red leather case
