the cup supported on a stem formed of the figures of the three Graces, spreading foot, the bowl with presentation inscription and applied with gold monogram CJL, maker’s mark EJ, fully hallmarked, in presentation case; the beaker of matted gold, scalloped below the rim, the base engraved: Barbro,maker’s mark, fully hallmarked,

6.9cm., 2¾in. high; beaker: 157g, cup: 50g

The inscription on the cup reads: ‘Till / Guldsmeden / Carl Johan Larsson / yra 50-arsdagen 1919-20 / fran / Geflekollegerna’ ….’ And on the case: ‘Juveleraren / Carl Johan Larsson / 19. 9/3. 20’

'Geflekollegerna' means that the cup was presented to the goldsmith Carl Johan Larsson by his colleagues from Gefle. Gefle Idrottsförening, also known as Gefle IF or simply Gefle, is a Swedish professional football club based in Gävle. The club was established in 1882 and is currently playing in Division 1, the third tier of Swedish football.
