A distinctive, contemporary design in reasonable restored condition but would benefit from further attention. The bookcase has been re-polished and generally colour is somewhat muted. Some age splits to returns. Areas of brass inlay to cupboard doors lifting slightly and ebony stinging with losses, filler and replacements. Repaired chips to each corner of waist moulding. Glass replaced to some astragal panels and frames with evidence of restorations. Writing slope to interior a bit stiff as are pull out slides.

Back board loose to one lower section. Locks replaced and re-veneered at these sites around escutcheons and generally with evidence of re-veneering. Doors don’t close properly unless locks or on latches. One removeable shelf detached to central cupboard and rails loose. Central upper section lacking one adjustable rail and therefore shelf is loose. Will require professional assistance to install.
