A Louis XV kingwood and amaranth secrétaire en pente, mid-18th century

the serpentine shaped upper part with a hinged door opening to a fitted interior with pigeon holes, drawers and a further sliding door enclosing a storage compartment, the reverse of the door with a black leather writing surface, the lower kneehole section with two short drawers above three further drawers including the drawer to the right side enclosing a further secret compartment and the drawer to the left with one shelf, re-mounted
