The vintage was very early, beginning on 7 September and finishing on 3 October - the result of a heatwave of 56 days above 30 degrees. A bouquet of violet creams at first, then apricots. A taste almost of plum skins. Incredibly full and rich, but also with real attack. Finish of clementines. So fruity. No perceptible volatility, and that was at the venerable age of 73 years.
