In 2019, a great, deep colour led to intense, concentrated cassis and cigars on the nose, irony in character and with all the depth of old vines. On the palate, power combined with harmony to produce an utterly complete wine of outstanding impact and force of flavour. A 1966 at its very best and a testament to perfect provenance and storage. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Most wines in the sale were purchased from Sotheby’s auctions in London, New York and Hong Kong

A small part of a much larger collection, all wines have been stored at Crown Wine Cellars prior to inspection
