Bollinger, R.D. 1985
Slightly scuffed labels and foils
65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay. Last drunk from magnum in 2008. Complex, multi-layered bouquet, with a touch of caramel and coffee. Still with that briary, honied nose. Acacia and total fruit - the fruit is a 1985 characteristic. I think the '88 is more complex on the palate, but this has all the concentrated fruity charm, with that finish of crumbling oatmeal.
