"ENDANGERED SPECIES This lot contains endangered species. Sotheby's recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid. For example, US regulations restrict or prohibit the import of certain items to protect wildlife conservation. Please note that Sotheby's will not assist buyers with the shipment of this lot to the US. A buyer's inability to export or import these lots cannot justify a delay in payment or sale cancellation."

This flamboyant Royal Oak Offshore was produced as a limited edition of 500 pieces to celebrate the opening of the new Geneva boutique in 2008.

These watches were made in stainless steel exclusively. The colour scheme pays tribute to the Swiss national flag, with the red for the dial, the strap, the crown and the pushers and the white for the indexes, subsidiary dials and even the stitches on the strap.

This reference rarely comes up at auction and this lot is a particularly rare opportunity to acquire such an attractive piece accompanied by its original accessories.
