Buben&Zorweg is a confidential yet highly regarded German brand creating exclusive time, storage and presentation objects. Their creativity and quality has been recognized by winning many design awards. They also have collaborated with top end brands such as Bugatti.

In 2006, they revealed the World Time Tourbillon. It was the first clock to combine these two complications. The clock has its unusual shaped inspired by the famous Greek philosopher and mathematician. It was produced as a limited edition of 50 pieces only that were quickly sold out.

This lot is one of them and shows all the savoir-faire of the company. The heavy case is made of precious macassar wood while the elegant dial displays the tourbillon at 12, the power reserve between 3 and 4, the world time and day/night indication at 6 and finally the date at 9.

The key is hidden underneath the dial and is released by pushing it.

Sotheby's is extremely pleased to present this exceptional and highly unusual timepiece on behalf of an important private individual.
