• Movement: gilded full plate, verge escapement, decoratively pierced and engraved balance bridge, silver regulation plate, turned pillars, signed Vauchez, à Paris

•Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring, aperture for winding at 2 o'clock

• Case: gold, decoratively chased and engraved bezels with rope-twist borders, the back centred with a polychrome enamel painted scene of a maiden before an altar of love, surrounded by chased and engraved leaves heightened with green translucent enamel and split-pearls
